Ceramica SERENISSIMA was set up in Casalgrande (Reggio Emilia) on 16th November 1968 by Cavaliere Lamberto Romani, the current Chairman of the Serenissima Cir Industrie Ceramiche Group.
From that small factory of artisans with its attractive name, a company was born that, by using the best technologies available at the time, successfully turned its production system into a real industrial process, thus contributing to the development of what would become the most important ceramics-producing areas in the world.
Since ancient times, acanthus was used as a decorative, ornamental motif because of its beautiful foliage, and it is this beauty that inspired Serenissima to create Àcanto, a porcelain tile collection based on a wood-effect.
With its full textures and up-to-date colours, it offers an interpretation of stone in all its forms: natural hewn for residential interiors, stores and commercial centres, the textured non-slip finish for exteriors, and the new reverse version that exploits the back of the cut stone slabs.
The unmistakeable beauty of wood is presented ceramically in a contemporary key. Veining and knots run lightly over a surface enhanced by a gloss finish, to give a painted wood effect – ideal for modern environments.
The luxury and elegance of timeless architectonic styles blend with the richness of the most prestigious marble and find a resting place in Palace, the new white body wall tile, with coordinated fine porcelain floor tiles.
